It was recently reported that editors from Digital Trends named the 2017 CX-5 as their pick for Best SUV/CUV of the Year, with the Mazda offering topping two competing vehicles from premium automakers.
The annual awards recognize the top new vehicles that were introduced each year, based on overall design and technological advancements. In the Best SUV/CUV category, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 SUV was credited for offering more style, character and overall fun than editors expected given its price -- helping it outscore the Bentley Bentayaga and Jaguar F-PACE.
The Mazda CX-5 also has been named an Insurance institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+, the highest rating given by the non-profit organization.
